Testimonies

Bought a 2001 Gibson LP 57 Reissue from Jim in March 2008. Had questions about condition of the instrument, and was concerned about shipping. I took a bit of a leap of faith to make the purchase. When it arrived, I breathed a big sigh of relief: Its condition was comparable to what I was told, the method of packing and shipping insured that nothing short of a very violent, deliberate act could do any damage to this instrument or case. My final fear was allayed only when I played it. Being on the opposite coast, I was still concerned I might have bought a dud, even if packed/shipped well and in "as advertised" condition. Price was right if this was a good one. Turns out this instrument is the best sounding Les Paul of the 4 I own (and a great looker too) - beautiful rich, articulate sound and unbelievable sustain. I would have no hesitation about doing more business with Jim Singleton down the line, based on this experience.
Thank you for that wonderful Strat! Great service and very friendly atmosphere. I look forward to doing business with you again. Thanks again, Olaf

Understated looks, timeless tone. The warm tone of mahogany and authentic Sitka spruce couple with resonant scalloped bracing under the hood for a sound thats honest, authoritative, and clear. Vintage details like open-geared tuners and classic 18 style appointments pair with a modern, low profile neck for an old-soul sound in a brand new body.

Carrying a distinct vintage-inspired design and updated like the D-18 a few years ago, the redesigned 000-18 offers many of the features found in our pre-war era guitars. The 000-18, which has a beautiful aging toned top in Sitka spruce, is married with genuine mahogany back and sides. The body is edged with tortoise binding and complemented with a polished finish. The 24.9” short scale model’s neck features a modified low oval profile with Performing Artist taper, with a width of 1-3/4” at the nut and 2-3/16” string spacing for easy playability. Nickel open-geared tuners with butterbean knobs are found with a rosewood headplate, which displays a large old style Martin logo.

A 1962 Fender Bassman head and 2x12 cabinet in Rare Blonde Tolex, very good condition. All original electronics, original 2 x 12" cabinet with upgraded Celestion G-12-H speakers manufactured in England! Cosmetically the amp and cab show wear consistent with their 50+ year age. There are a few snags in the grill cloth and although the tolex has a worn look that adds character, it has no tears. Both Fender logos are attached and undamaged and the control panel graphics are crisp and clear. Amp head cover included. The amp is silent at idle and sounds phenomenal as expected. Nothing like the early presence circuit! To maintain our low prices and fast service, all items are sold as is with no warranty. If you have any questions, please contact us York Music Shop: 717-793-3458, prior to placing your order. Vintage amps with glass tubes are delicate items and may encounter problems during the shipping process. It is recommended that all vintage amps are sent express with insurance. We recommend all vintage amps that are shipped be taken to a competent tech for servicing upon arrival.

Sometimes innovation is in the details and this is certainly true with Martin's re-imagined D-28. After nearly a century at the helm, and as the quintessential workhorse of music legends like Hank Williams, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, and so many more, Martin's legendary D-28 has been lovingly and artfully enhanced. The post WWII D-28 had a slightly different look than its predecessor and became the centerpiece of the folk and folk rock movements at their pinnacle in the 1950s and 1960s. says Chris Martin, Chairman and CEO of Martin Guitar, We have extracted the finest features from the D-28 of both my grandfathers and my fathers respective eras. The all new D-28 blends the rich history of the guitar with Martin's newest and most heralded innovations. The 184 year old guitar maker has combined vintage appointments, including open gear tuners, an aged toner top, antique white accents, and a faux tortoise pickguard with a new neck profile to give D-28 enthusiasts a modern feel and comfortable playing experience. Martin has also added forward-shifted bracing to allow greater vibration of the top. The legend just got better.
